The Meissa OT is equipped with a safety feature that continuously measures the patient’s muscle resistance during exercise. If a sudden contraction (increased spasticity) exceeds the “Maximum Force” parameter (default 5 kg), the device immediately stops movement. Once the spasticity subsides, exercise can be safely resumed or, if necessary, terminated.
