CPM + EMG
The CPM + EMG program delivers synchronized therapy combining Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) with Electromyography (EMG) biofeedback. This integration ensures safe, patient-driven rehabilitation based on real-time muscle activity.
Key Feature: EMG-Triggered Movement
The extension remains locked in place until the patient generates a voluntary muscle contraction that exceeds a preset threshold (measured in microvolts). Once this threshold is reached, the device automatically executes the programmed movement cycle.
Configuration Parameters:
-
Triggering Threshold: The target muscle tension required to initiate device movement.
-
Triggering Mode: “Trigger & Release” – a brief muscle contraction triggers the full, automated movement cycle. “Trigger & Hold” – the device moves only while the patient actively maintains the required muscle contraction.
-
Range of Motion (ROM): The safe angular limits of the joint’s movement.
-
Pauses: Adjustable rest intervals between consecutive muscle contraction and relaxation phases.
-
Session Length: Defined either by total exercise duration or a specific number of repetitions.
-
Movement Speed: The velocity of the extension movement.
