Assisted key turning
The video demonstrates an exercise for everyday activities – turning a key. The movement is supported by EMG and EMS.
Exercise used:
- CPM + EMG + EMS
Extension used:
- Key
This exercise is an alternative for patients who are unable to perform it actively. Electrostimulation electrodes are placed on the finger flexor and the adductor pollicis. Grip movement and electrical stimulation for both channels are triggered by an EMG signal exceeding a threshold. In this example, the muscle activating the movement is the adductor pollicis. Thanks to initial calibration, even slight muscle activity can initiate movement.
