How to connect the electrodes?

For each electromyography exercise (whether diagnostic or therapeutic) you will need at least 3 connected electrodes. One of those electrodes is the reference (green lead).

The reference electrode can be connected to any part of the skin surface, that is not under diagnosis or is not a part of the training routine (e.g. for elbow flexion/extension the electrode can be placed on the shoulder or forearm).

The placement of the positive “+” and negative “-” leads of the same channel should be as stated above, in the same distance from each other for every training and should be placed in the middle of the monitored head of muscle with each electrode lead pointing towards the opposite tendons.
