CPM + EMS

The CPM + EMS program delivers synchronized therapy combining Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) with Electrostimulation (EMS). This integration provides safe, automated joint mobilization combined with targeted electrical muscle stimulation to prevent atrophy, improve local circulation, and enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Key Feature: Motion-Synchronized Electrostimulation

Unlike muscle-driven programs, the device automatically executes the programmed passive movement cycle. During the movement phase, the system dynamically delivers electrical stimulation pulses to the targeted muscle groups, reinforcing tissue activity in perfect synchronization with the mechanical range of motion and movement direction.

Configuration Parameters:
  • Current Intensity: The amplitude of the electrical current (measured in milliamperes) adjusted to a therapeutic yet comfortable level for the patient.
  • Pulse Metrics: Adjustable electrostimulation characteristics, including pulse frequency, pulse width, and specific rise, fall, and plateau times.
  • Electrostimulation Direction: Determines whether the stimulation is unidirectional (active during one specific phase, e.g., flexion only) or bidirectional (active during both flexion and extension phases).
  • Range of Motion (ROM): The safe angular limits of the joint’s movement.
  • Movement Speed: The velocity of the movement.
  • Pauses: Adjustable rest intervals at the terminal positions of the movement (full extension or flexion).
  • Session Length: Defined either by total exercise duration or a specific number of repetitions.
