CAM Torque
Isokinetic CAM exercises belong to the active exercise group. They can be performed at the ankle, knee, or in three-degree synchronized flexion.
During the exercise, the patient applies pressure above a specific threshold, which causes movement at variable speeds within a defined range of motion.
The greater the force the patient applies to the strain gauge, the faster the robot moves, while still remaining within the maximum speed selected in the exercise settings. In practice, the higher the maximum speed selected in the exercise settings, the easier the movement appears to the patient. The lower the maximum speed, the greater the resistance the patient experiences.
